The HOPE Financial Dignity Center in Atlanta launched its first Entrepreneurial Training Program on January 12, 2012, empowering and engaging 29 aspiring small-business owners during the inaugural class at the Sun Trust University training campus.

Our partner SunTrust graciously allowed use of their training space, by hosting it at SunTrust University. Initially, 20 people committed and signed up for the classes from previous workshops; however, as a result of Atlanta’s entrepreneurial spirit at heart, excitement grew and so did the class.

Shortly after starting my presentation of the curriculum, I handed the floor to local small-business owner Amber Saunders. Ms. Saunders is the owner of Enrichment Prep as well as a member of 100 Urban Entrepreneurs.  She provided the class with a wealth of information, shared her best practices with the cohort and answered numerous questions.

Many of the entrepreneurs stated the class was more than what they had expected! This inaugural session was a huge success and provided a firm foundation for future classes.
