New York: August 1, 2011
100 URBAN ENTREPRENEURS hit the biggest, baddest city in America on Monday, August 1, hosting our first-ever “Never Stop Pitching!” 60-Second Business-Pitch event in New York City. We went to Monroe College in the Bronx on Monday, August 1, and left having funded three talented entrepreneurs, Ohio natives all, who run their business from Brooklyn: Alyxaundria Sanford, Sheree Coleman and Sherrae Hayes of Sole Discretion, a shoe company that offers a compact flat shoe line designed to bring relief to long-suffering women by being both stylish and comfortable.
We’ll surely be back to Gotham in search of new entrepreneurs to bring into 100UE’s funding-and-mentoring program; keep your eyes on 100UrbanEntrepreneurs.org, as well as our Twitter feed, for more information.
