Philadelphia: August 8, 2011

IS THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE also a city of entrepreneurial excellence? We think it is — so in tandem with the Obama administration’s ongoing Urban Entrepreneurship Summit, we headed to Philadelphia on Monday, August 8, to host one of our signature “Never Stop Pitching!” 60-Second Business-Pitch events. So far, in the summer of 2011, we’ve also hosted pitch events in New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston and New York — and have now brought seven new entrepreneurial talents into the 100UE funding-and-mentoring program.

Philly’s top entrepreneur was Gabriel Mandujano of Wash Cycle Laundry, Philly’s up-and-coming eco-friendly laundry service! We’ll have much more to say about him and his business in the days ahead; keep your eyes on 100UrbanEntrepreneurs.org, as well as our Twitter feed, for all the details.

Special thanks to Temple University’s Fox School of Business, which hosted the event.
